To impact the world by seeing Philadelphia transformed with the Gospel and to become a center for missions training and sending.

We plan to implement our mission and vision through partnerships with local churches and ministries, both local and international outreaches, mercy ministries, intercession, building community, worship, and the equipping and launching of other missionaries around the world.

Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world.
Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), we unite in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known.
Our ministries cover every sphere of society, including ship-based medical care, performing arts teams, Bible training programs, business coaching, sports ministries, anti-trafficking work, and many more.
From a late-night vision of waves of young people reaching every continent, given to a 20-year-old in the Bahamas, to a global ministry with over 20,000 workers, the growth of YWAM is the story of God’s inspiration, God’s grace for many mistakes, and the creativity of the Holy Spirit’s leading. The heart of YWAM–to worship God, to serve God’s global purposes, and to champion young people–remains as strong as it was in the beginning.
Philadelphia is the birthplace of the United States. It is a place of spiritual and historical significance for this nation. It is a city known for it's cultural diversity, murals, food, and history.
Philadelphia is also a place of deep hopelessness, addiction, and violence.
We know God isn't done with Philadelphia yet, and want to be a part of what He is doing in and through this city. We want to see the city of brotherly love become known for loving as the Father does. We long to see hope restored on the streets. To see each life touched with the Gospel in a way that leads to restoration. To see the city discipled and sent out. To see those who come to tour, leave transformed.
This city is filled with people from all nations and walks of life, and the Father sees each one. He knows each one. He calls each one.

DTS is the entry course into YWAM and the University of the Nations.
It is a five-month live-learn intensive designed to encourage, train, and equip you to know God and make Him known. It's a discipleship experience that you can take with you and apply in any area of life that you feel called to.
The first three months are called our lecture phase. It's a time of growing our relationship with the Lord through classes, shared experiences, creative assignments, daily life, and practical applications.
After lecture, we enter our outreach phase. This is the time where we put everything from lecture phase into practice in a cross-cultural setting. We will work with churches in our outreach location and gain experience sharing the Gospel through creative methods and times of discipleship for new believers.
Once we've completed outreach, we take some time to review and process the last few months. During this, the staff are available to help you make a plan for taking the next steps in whatever it is you feel God calling you to do.

YWAM’s University of the Nations (UofN) was founded to train students in ministering the love of Christ and teaching others according to the command of Christ to make disciples of all nations, in all spheres of society.
The UofN is unique in its international missionary training scope with school locations in 160 nations and at 600 locations on 6 continents.
Because national accrediting agencies have major differences in their systems, the UofN has not, at present, applied for any one nation’s accreditation.

Kayla has been in full-time missions for about 13 years. She loves writing, reading, camping, and other adventurous activities. Her heart for ministry is to equip and enable other believers to follow God's call on their lives.
